Meet Kirsten

Kirsten Cresho Norton is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She is also the owner of Milk and Milestones.

A native of Charleston, SC, Kirsten earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from The University of South Carolina in 2017, followed by a Master of Speech Pathology in 2019. During her graduate studies, she obtained her Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) certification and completed a clinical rotation in the local NICU. In 2020, Kirsten transitioned into private practice, where she pursued advanced training in Beckman Oral Motor Therapy and completed a 28-hour course in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. Over the past four years, she has expanded her expertise through continuing education in infant feeding, the transition to solids, oral motor therapy, myofunctional therapy, and medically complex feeding therapy. She possesses in-depth knowledge and experience in the functional assessment of tethered oral tissues (TOTs) and oral motor therapy. In 2024, Kirsten successfully passed the IBCLC exam and officially launched her practice.

Outside of work, Kirsten enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
