Orofacial Myofunctional Consultations
What is Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy?
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (aka “myofunctional therapy” or “myo”) is a specific type of therapy that addresses problems within the orofacial complex including habit elimination, nasal and diaphragmatic breathing, oral rest posture, muscle strength and compensation patterns, and swallow patterns. Myo can be beneficial for children age four and up who are struggling with snoring, mouth breathing, TMJ pain, tongue thrust swallow pattern, or tongue/lip ties.
Please note that we are currently private pay only for orofacial myofunctional services. We will provide a Superbill after each visit to submit for possible reimbursement from your insurance company.
